How we make money

Moving Union is free for you to use. Moving companies in our network pay us when we connect them with people planning a move. This compensation is how we keep the service free, it does not change our 5-point vetting standard or which vetted movers we match you with.

Our vetting is not for sale

A company cannot buy its way past the standard, buy a higher placement, or pay to skip a check. Compensation affects only that we operate a matching service, never who passes vetting or who you are shown. On our editorial “best movers” pages, listings are not paid placements, and we display no invented ratings.

Who may contact you

When you submit our matching form, we share your request with up to two specific, Union-Verified moving companies that serve your area. Each is identified to you by name. Those companies, not a random pool of buyers, may then contact you about your move.

The consent you provide

The consent language shown on our matching form reads:

By checking this box and submitting, I expressly consent to be contacted about my moving request by each specific licensed, Union-Verified moving company I am matched with (up to 2, identified to me by name before contact), by phone call, text message, and email, including via automated technology, at the number and email I provided. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time.

Opting out

Consent is never a condition of any purchase. You can withdraw it at any time, reply STOP to any text, use the unsubscribe link in emails, or contact us directly.

Sibling sites

For cost estimates and long-distance moves we may refer you to our partner sites (for example, an estimate tool or an interstate-carrier site). Those are separate services with their own terms and privacy practices; review them before submitting information there.
