Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026

Moving Union (“we,” “us”) operates a service that matches people planning a move with licensed, vetted moving companies. This policy explains what we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. It applies to this website and our matching service.

Information we collect

  • Details you provide in our matching form, name, phone, email, and information about your move (size, origin/destination ZIP, date, and services).
  • Consent records, the exact language you agreed to, plus a timestamp, IP address, and browser information, kept as proof of consent.
  • Attribution and usage data, referring source, campaign parameters (UTM/gclid), pages viewed, and device/browser data collected via cookies and similar technologies.

How we use it

  • To match you with up to two vetted moving companies that serve your area.
  • To share your request with those specific companies so they can contact you about your move.
  • To measure and improve our service, prevent fraud and abuse, and meet legal and record-keeping obligations.

Who we share it with

When you submit the matching form, we share your details with the specific moving companies you authorize, at most two, each named to you. We also use service providers (hosting, analytics, communications, and call tracking) that process data on our behalf under contract. We may disclose information where required by law or to protect our rights. We do not sell your personal information.

Cookies & analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies to run the site, remember your preferences, measure traffic, and attribute conversions. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some may affect how the site works. We honor recognized opt-out signals where required.

How long we keep it

We retain your information for as long as needed to provide the service, document your consent, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements, then we delete or de-identify it.

Data security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your choices & rights

You can opt out of marketing communications at any time, reply STOP to texts, use the unsubscribe link in emails, or contact us. Depending on where you live (for example, under California, Colorado, Virginia, and similar state laws), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or limit the use of your information, and to appeal a decision. Contact us to exercise these rights; we will not discriminate against you for doing so.

Children's privacy

Our service is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and we will delete it if we learn we have.

Communications & consent

For how we handle consent to contact you by phone, text, and email, see our Consent to Contact (TCPA) Disclosure and Partner Disclosure.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll revise the “last updated” date above, and material changes will be reflected on this page.
